A festival that was created to honour one of the most significant figures in the history of Scotland will be taking place once again in Dunfermline this year, following an absence of five years.
The Bruce Festival is dedicated to King Robert the Bruce and celebrates his birthday each year. It has not been held in the city since 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but appears set to make its return this summer. It will be a particularly noteworthy time to bring the festival back, as 2024 will mark 750 years since the king was born.
Pittencrieff Park is once more planned as the venue for the festival and is the site where it has traditionally been held. The organisers are hoping to attract a crowd in excess of 10,000 people to this year’s event, with locals having been starved of it in recent summers.
It will feature historical demonstrations and re-enactments of some of the notable battles that Bruce participated in during his lifetime. Those behind events of this sort can use outlets in Dunfermline that supply Logo Design services if they want to refresh the branding after an absence.
Visit Dunfermline is the organisation behind the Bruce Festival. It will cost them around £45,000 and financing of £10,000 has been requested from the council.
This festival will take place on 1st and 2nd June.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
