Argos digital catalogues impress customers

Argos, the retail giant well-known for its extensive catalogue of products, has recently promoted the success of its in-store digital tablet Catalogues, which launched last year.

The company opened several concept stores that had the digital versions of the Booklets last year. It now has seven concept stores across the UK – in Dunfermline, Manchester, Colchester, and four in London. According to Argos itself, the tablets are proving to be very popular with customers, as the concept stores provide other digital advantages, such as free WiFi.

Argos said its Manchester customers have been really positive about the modern look of the shop, and even those who are not familiar with the way tablets work have been supported by staff. Customers have also praised the use of technology and the overall helpfulness of the in-store team.

The chief executive of Home Retail Group, Argos’ parent company, has said that there are more Plans to open pilot digital stores this year to add to the ones in Scotland and England. Argos stated that it Plans to open another 25 digital stores by March next year.

The fact that these digital concept stores are going down well with customers reflects the need for technology and digital tools. Digital printing in Dunfermline is a popular concept that large companies like Argos make use of, as there is still a widespread need for printed products among Scottish businesses.
