E Design director Robin Ghosh has warned that the town’s Station Hotel, which enjoys Grade II listed status, is at serious risk of falling into complete disrepair – and he is urging South Ayrshire Council to consider his idea for the transformation of this building, which is situated right in the heart of Ayr.
Ghosh would like to see the majority of the existing hotel structure, which dates back to the Victorian era and was designed in the style of a French chateau, retained and used as a new base for employees of South Ayrshire Council.
However, he also envisions a structure made of glass added at the front that would be occupied by further offices for council employees, cafes and shops. Speaking to the Daily Record, he suggested that this would bring a valuable building back to life, adding:
“A central hub office is the only viable option to move the building forward. It can never be a hotel as an investor would never get the return.”
Should his Plans go ahead, the new shops and café that are built there could always use full colour printing to ensure they have appealing advertising Posters.Get a Free Quote for Posters Get a Free Quote for Plans
