Music festival to arrive in Ayr

Ayr is set to host a weekend of live electronic music performances featuring local DJs and producers.

The Pavilion Festival is coming back to the seaside town for a two-day electronic extravaganza. A celebration of Ayrshire’s vibrant dance music scene, the event is hosted and led by DJ Ewan McVicar and promises high-quality production and renowned international artists.

Organisers of festivals in Scotland, England and Wales sometimes order a supply of Promotional Products bearing dates and logos that can be handed out to attendees as commemorative giveaways.

Day one of the weekender is dubbed “Ewan McVicar and Pals” and will see the local DJ present the Party People Show. Acts booked include MK, Rory McVicar, La La and Dr Banana, and there will be a DJ set from Leftfield.

The second day is “STREETrave Sunday” and features headliners Carl Cox, John Digweed and Sasha. Other artists performing include Bob Jeffries and Anna Tur, and there will be smaller sets in the “RaveCave” and “STREETrave Wee Tent”.

Launched in 2023, the festival is a major event for dance music fans in Scotland and the wider UK.

The Pavilion Festival will once again be held over the bank holiday weekend on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 at Low Green. The outdoor events space is sited near Ayr’s seafront and accessible via Pavilion Road, a short distance from the town centre.
