Steven Adair cooked venison, potato rosti and roast roots for the Queen’s 80th birthday celebrations, which were held at London’s Mansion House, but he is now preparing for culinary conquest in Ayr.
Adair’s Café, Bar and Bistro has opened for business, and is located at the site that used to house the Stables and Courtyard pub, with the hope being that the famed back passages area of the town can be revitalised.
Adair, who resides in Prestwick, is already known within the town for managing Ayr Ice Rink’s kitchen, and he is set to maintain that role alongside his new establishment.
Speaking to the Daily Record about his latest venture, he said:
“It is a lovely space, lending itself to a relaxed style which is what we want. It won’t be fine dining, it will be home-made bistro style. We hope to have a nice product in a nice place and attract diners into the centre of the town.”
As with other restaurants and bars based there, Adair’s eatery will be able to use flyer printing in Ayr to ensure that those living there are made aware of it.
Prior to the opening, Adair took two months to renovate the space.
