Young people in Ayr and the wider region who have artistic aspirations will have the opportunity to see their creations displayed at a prestigious gallery thanks to a new exhibition.
National Galleries of Scotland has launched an event, ‘Your Art World’, that will showcase the finest work by children and teenagers. The age range of those permitted to enter pieces is between 3 and 18 years of age, so it will be open to a wide variety of young people in Ayr and other parts of the country.
The actual artworks that are eligible for submission vary from traditional paintings and drawings to video art or sculpture. National Galleries of Scotland is keen to provide as broad a chance for people within the age categories to take part as possible, as well encouraging them to use their skills and imaginations.
Flyer printing and Posters are two advertising methods often used to help promote local opportunities such as this one.
Anyone who wishes to enter a piece needs to take a picture of it once it is completed. This will then be uploaded to the gallery on the website for the National Galleries of Scotland.
Each entry is set to be put on display within this digital gallery until the conclusion of the exhibition on Sunday 14th April.
