This act, the Starlings Aerobatic Display Team, has been confirmed for the popular annual autumn event. The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight has been given a revamp for this year and the death-defying stall turns, loops and formation rolls performed by the team are sure to be one of the high points for attendees.
The pilots flying the aircraft are Michael Pickin and Tom Cassells, both of whom have been crowned national aerobatic champions in the past. The two different aeroplanes that they use are the Cap 232 and the Extra NG.
Their planes will have pyrotechnics and coloured LED lights installed and the routines that they perform are said to challenge the laws of physics. It is an exciting addition to the event and any promotional poster printing provided by Ayr shops would likely place it prominently to help attract big crowds.
Alec Clark from the council told the Daily Record that:
“This display will undoubtedly be one of the most thrilling of the festival and will leave the crowd wanting more.”
The International Ayr Show will take place from 8th to 10th September.
