The idea for this comes from local arts hub The Iris and the venue chosen for it is Rozelle Park in Ayr. Taking place across two days, it will see a big screen set up within the park, on which three movies will be screened each day.
Details of which films will feature have not been revealed yet but everything from vintage classics to family films are being promised by Ross Hunter, the director for The Iris.
Residents are being encouraged to bring their own snacks with them and will need to stay within their vehicles to meet social distancing regulations. Ayr Print shops that offer Logo Design services can help with the creation and printing of promotional Posters for events like this.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Hunter stated:
“One of the main reasons we wanted to do it is because in this moment in time with cinemas it’s kind of up in the air. Nobody is really sure how to open them safely yet so we want to make sure people still get a big screen experience.”
