A popular Scottish comedian who spent much of her early life in Ayr is planning to return to the town later this year, as one of the dates on her upcoming live tour.
Karen Dunbar rose to fame as one of the performers of the smash hit BBC Scotland sketch show ‘Chewin’ the Fat’, before going on to land her own programme called ‘The Karen Dunbar Show’. Now, she is taking to the road with a new live show that has been given the title ‘An Audience with Karen Dunbar’ which she will soon be bringing to Ayr.
Venue 38 on Carrick Street in the town will host the show, which sees Dunbar mix stand-up comedy with stories from her lengthy performing career. It will be a return home for the 52-year-old, who moved to Ayr from Glasgow as a youngster and is a former Ayr Academy pupil.
Local shops can supply entertainment venues with inexpensive but appealing Promotional Products that are themed around upcoming shows like this one, to help advertise them to residents.
Alongside her career in comedy, Dunbar has also worked as a DJ, so she will have plenty of anecdotes to share. Her tour of the country is scheduled to start on 9th November, and run until 10th December.
She will be appearing in Ayr on 18th November.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
