Alan Frew has already released a single from his forthcoming album. The single, MaryGo, is inspired by cold winter nights in Ayr. His studio album will be released in the New Year and will be supported by a concert which is set to be held at the Gaiety studio theatre in Ayr on 8th February 2013.
Printing companies in Ayr often get involved with helping concerts like this one to be a real success, as shows often demand promotional material or programmes that need to be printed professionally. Concerts like this are often promoted by poster printing.
The artist spoke about his latest album, saying:
“I thought it would be nice to do a kind of studio tour and have a slightly different sound/vibe to each track. We have become friends with several producers over the years so we had an idea to let them all have some individual input on the album. The first person we recorded with was Clark Sorley in Kilmarnock who produced the debut album Go Easy. The second track will be recorded by Isaac Sutherland from Dunnet head who lives in a lighthouse in the northern most part of mainland Britain looking out to the Orkney Isles.”
