A team of locals who have learning disabilities have been working with Ayrshire and Arran NHS to come up with a new design which will be used on Posters, Flyers and promotional merchandise to raise awareness of the different health services and organisations available to local people. The ‘When you're ill, know who to turn to’ campaign recently gained momentum as local residents voted for their favourite designs of the poster at a consultation event held at the North West Kilmarnock Centre.
The initiative’s project manager is Irene Campbell. She recently spoke to the Cumnock Chronicle about the project, saying:
“We were absolutely delighted with our consultation event. More than 40 people attended, and gave us a huge amount of valuable and constructive feedback… In addition, as a direct result of the success of the event, we are also going to look at revising our current leaflets and Banners to produce simpler versions that will match the new poster.”
The local NHS organisations in the region are likely to work with local Print companies offering poster, flyer and banner printing in Ayr to produce the new range of printed communication materials. Local print companies often offer a more personal service than larger ones based online and will strive to ensure the end result matches the initial designs.
