The club will travel the short distance to East Ayrshire to take on Darvel FC, a side celebrating its triumph in the West of Scotland League Premier Division at the end of the 2021/22 season. The match against the title winners, who are managed by Mick Kennedy, will get the pre-season underway for the Honest Men, as they try to improve on last season’s mid-table Scottish Championship finish.
Following this game, Ayr United will go on to play further pre-season warm-ups against Scottish Division One team Falkirk, and Division Two sides Stranraer and Dumbarton during the summer.

Ayr United have already begun selling season tickets for the 2022/23 season and speaking to the Daily Record, Martin Tocker, the club’s commercial chief, said:
“Ticket sales are our biggest revenue generator and a vital part in our ability to compete on and off the park.”
He added that the previous season had seen notably high sales and that the club was hoping for more of the same this summer.
The match against Darvel FC will take place on Tuesday, June 28th.
