This is the brainchild of two nurses who live and work in Ayrshire. Laura Harvey and Amy Andersen came up with the plan after spending time in similar cafes at locations across the country. They are both big fans of all things feline and their new facility is set to be called the Kitty Cat Cafe. The chosen location for it is on South Harbour Street, Ayr.
Talking to the Ayr Advertiser, Amy stated that they had visited cat cafes in places such as Glasgow, which led to them dreaming of launching something similar for themselves.
She then went on to say:
“We went to Business Gateway and found the perfect property in Ayr, and that’s when our dream started to become a reality.”
When people are launching new facilities like cafes and restaurants in Ayr, they sometimes go to local shops that supply Promotional Products. These can be created with a relevant theme and given away cheaply as advertising.
The pair behind this cafe are currently working to get the building ready for opening. Their chosen locale is by the waterfront, which provides a picturesque setting.
They hope to open in late November.
