The Communities Fun Day is put together each year by South Ayrshire Council. In particular, the local authority’s Thriving Communities team and its housing service handle organisational duties. It is well liked among residents of the town, due to the range of activities for the whole family that are on offer and the fact that it is free to attend.
This year’s event will feature all of the usual fun and games, but at a different location. The programme for 2024 will be split between Ayr Academy and the Riverside Sports Arena. Flyer printing by shops in Ayr is one way that the council could inform people of the change of venues.
Among the activities that will make up the entertainment programme this year are modern and classic car shows, a selection of amusement rides and sports sessions. There will be plenty more too, but the council is keeping the full programme under wraps for now.
