Alliance Leisure has been chosen by South Ayrshire Council to take on the role. The company is a top one within the leisure industry, and will now be bringing all their experience to overseeing the reconstruction of the Citadel Centre.
It is hoped that this redevelopment work, which is expected to cost £10 million, will increase the number of people who use the centre.
Along with Alliance Leisure, the project team also include builders Robertson Construction, and the architects that designed the new centre, Holmes Miller. Management of the work will be handled by Axiom Project Services.
When the revamped centre is nearer completion, the council may also decide that Logo Design services in Ayr can help in ensuring its new look is matched by fresh branding.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Brian Connolly from South Ayrshire Council stated that:
“These are exciting times for the Citadel Leisure Centre. I am delighted that a project team has been appointed and we can proceed with plans to revitalise this popular facility.”
