Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club celebrated the various sporting achievements of its members at a recent prize giving event.
Fiona Herbertson was presented with the female triathlete of the year award, having scooped up a number of trophies throughout the season for a variety of events.
The club’s coach, Davie Auchie, received the male triathlete of the year accolade and also managed to bag an award for being the club’s champion, having gained more points than anyone else in the races he entered.
The male points trophy was handed to Angus Peden, while several younger athletes – Kiyan Malik, Beth McRae and Haris Malik – were given medals for being the top performers within their age groups.
Steve White, who will soon be president of the club, presented the trophies.
He was also the recipient of an award – a salver marking the completion of his first ever Iron Man Triathlon.
Athletes Ross Woodburn, Lorna Sloan, Fiona Davidson and Lorna Todd were also presented with salvers for the same achievement.
Sarah Sigley, who left the club last month to spend 2014 training in Australia, was given an award during one of the club’s swim sessions.

Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club’s Turkey Trot races will be held on Boxing Day at the Citadel Leisure Centre in Ayr. The 5k run along the waterfront will start at 11:15am, while the 10k variant will begin at 10:00am.
