What's Happening in Tunbridge Wells, England…

Wreath making by the ice comes to Kent

An ice rink in Tunbridge Wells is set to be the site of a wreath-making workshop next month.

This festive event is perfectly timed for the festive season, allowing those in attendance to learn how to make their own wreath to hang on the door. The craft masterclass will take place at the popular ice rink at Calverley Grounds on Mount Pleasant Avenue in Tunbridge Wells.

A festive favourite for winter events, the Calverley Grounds rink will also play host to ice skaters and carol concerts in December. Promoters of local venues can use poster printing services to advertise upcoming events on their seasonal calendar.

Those taking part in the arts and crafts evening are invited to show off their creative skills as well as learn some new ones. Everything required to create an attractive natural wreath will be supplied by the organisers, but participants are welcome to bring along additional decorations of their own to add to the mix.

Attendees will be offered a free mince pie and a hot mug of mulled cider or wine on the day to help them keep the cold at bay and to further get into the festive spirit, with a non-alcoholic option being available as well.

The one-off wreath making workshop at the ice rink will take place between 6:30pm and 9:30pm on Wednesday, December 11.
