Virtual run coming to Tunbridge Wells

A hospice in Tunbridge Wells is due to hold its very first virtual run.

The Hospice in the Weald, situated on Maidstone Road in Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, is hosting a virtual 10-kilometre run. Calling to individuals, schools and businesses to sign up, the hospice is inviting runners to complete the distance at their own pace within a 40-day period.

The special run is in honour of the Hospice in the Weald delivering 40 years of care and support to patients, their carers and relatives. This achievement is celebrated in the hospice’s current logo design featuring a green house and the number of the years the hospice has been operating highlighted in red.

Businesses taking part in the run will receive a dedicated support package. This includes useful training tips, up to five custom-made and branded t-shirts for their team members and digital assets they can share with clients and customers as they attain fundraising milestones.

The Hospice in the Weald provides cares for terminally ill patients in North East Sussex and West Kent, completely free of charge.

Runners wishing to take part in the virtual event can do so between 12am on September 1 and October 10 at 11.59. All those taking part are asked to raise £40 to commemorate the 40-year anniversary and will receive both a certificate and a medal from the Hospice in return for their support.
