UK funny man headed for Tunbridge Wells
A popular events venue in Tunbridge Wells has announced it will be hosting a former footballer turned comedian to its stage this autumn.
Actor, comedian, presenter and former semi-pro midfielder John Bishop is coming to Tunbridge Wells later this year. The English comedy superstar is bringing his brand-new show called “Back At It” to the Assembly Hall Theatre in November for two shows.
A first-class entertainment venue, The Assembly Hall is recognised by its simple logo featuring a smaller triangle inside a larger triangle. Local venues often include their logo design on flyers and posters around town to raise their profile when promoting shows.
Bishop will perform his show twice in one day at the hall, once at 4 pm and again at 8 pm. The comedian and Doctor Who actor’s latest tour finds him firmly back in a stand-up role after two years, but he’s been busy during the break. On top of presenting on television, acting on stage and hosting podcasts he has also been walking his dogs and redecorating his spare room.
