TV chef to take over Tunbridge Wells eatery
Later this year, a restaurant based in Tunbridge Wells will be run by a renowned TV chef.
Acclaimed Indian chef Atul Kochhar has confirmed he will be opening a new restaurant at an address that formerly hosted the Woods on The Pantiles promenade. Well known for his appearances on popular UK television shows like Saturday Kitchen, Kochhar was once the Oberoi in New Delhi’s Head Chef and currently operates the Michelin-star-awarded Tamarind restaurant in London.
Restaurants and cafes sometimes rely on expert graphic design services from local printers to create plush menus for diners displaying the dishes on offer.
For 20 years, the Woods was run as a family-owned restaurant in Tunbridge Wells, but will be replaced by a new dining establishment called Riwaz. The TV chef has already set up similar branches of his restaurant chain in Windsor, Hampshire, and Beaconsfield that serve his own personal style of Indian cookery.
Recently, the chef disclosed that he would be taking over the location at the Pub in Park festival, news that he later confirmed when he shared his plans with fellow television chef, James Martin with a post on social media.
Revealing the date of the new Riwaz restaurant’s opening, his Instagram comment read:
