Tunbridge Wells welcomes alternative rock
A well-known UK rock band will celebrate their second album with a show in Tunbridge Wells.
In tribute to their sophomore release, British alternative rockers Jesus Jones will be playing the full track list of their popular 1991 album “Doubt” at the Forum in Tunbridge Wells. Venues that host club nights and gigs sometimes use flyer printing services to create eye-catching leaflets to advertise upcoming events on their calendar.
Jesus Jones hail from Wiltshire’s Bradford-on-Avon and formed back in 1988, after three of the members decided to leave the groups they were in while on holiday in Spain and found a new band.
Doubt was recorded in Spring 1990 and released a year later, and enjoyed critical success both here in Britain and across the Atlantic in the US. The tracks released from it as singles contributed to its growing popularity with songs like "International Bright Young Thing", "Real, Real, Real" and "Right Here, Right Now" growing the band a following. "Right Here, Right Now" was about how quickly the Cold War ended and became a hit record in America, reaching number two in the charts.
Jesus Jones will be on stage at ‘The Forum' Live Music Venue located on the Common off London Road in Tunbridge Wells on Thursday, July 7. The show will start at 7:45 pm with a planned ending time of 11:45 pm.
