Tunbridge Wells venue to host grunge tribute
A popular live music venue in Tunbridge Wells will hold a tribute to the world’s most famous grunge band.
The Forum in Tunbridge Wells is celebrating the Seattle sensation Nirvana with a special event in the band’s honour. Local clubs that host live bands can sometimes use professional printing services to create flyers, posters, and other promotional content that can be used to advertise events.
A covers band called Nirvana Tribute, formerly known as Nervana, will play providing a faithful rendering of Kurt Cobain, Kris Novoselic and Dave Grohl’s music from seminal albums like “Bleach”, “Nevermind” and “In Utero”.
A US alternative rock group, the trio formed in 1987 before recruiting Grohl (now frontman for the Foo Fighters) in 1990. Nirvana popularised the grunge scene, with their albums and singles enjoying mainstream success. With more than 75 million records sales to date, Nirvana remains one of the world’s most successful bands.
Nirvana fans attending the upcoming tribute concert will have the chance to see the band’s classic tracks like “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “Heart Shaped Box”, “In Bloom” and “Polly” performed on stage.
This celebration of the music of Nirvana will take place at The Forum on The Common off London Rd in Royal Tunbridge Wells on Friday, November 12. The event will start at 7:30 pm and end at 11:45 pm with tickets priced at £15 per person. Admission is only available for those aged 16 years or older.
