Tunbridge Wells offers festive train ride
A railway experience designed especially for the holiday season will set off from a station in Tunbridge Wells this winter.
Families in Tunbridge Wells looking for a magical journey can hop aboard The Polar Express in November. The 2025 train ride on the Spa Valley Railway will be taking on passengers at Tunbridge Wells West station and is now taking bookings.
Promising enchanting memories for years to come, the ride features an authentic recreation of the popular book and animated film. Passengers dressed in their pyjamas will get to meet iconic characters like the conductor, the hobo ghost and the dancing chefs. Mr C (Santa Claus) will also appear, and fans can bring along their copy of The Polar Express (or buy one with their ticket) to get signed.
Authors and publishers of children’s picture books rely on professional printing services for copies of the titles complete with high-resolution illustrations.
An immersive theatre experience, the ride includes caribou-related delays, delicious hot chocolate for refreshment and the beloved story shared by the train’s chefs. Mr C will present passengers with a magical sleigh bell and once back in Tunbridge Wells, children alighting can write him a letter and browse a special gift shop.
The Polar Express Train Ride will run on the Spa Valley Railway on November 28 and leaves Tunbridge Wells West at 1 pm.
