Tunbridge Wells Il Vesuvio claims award
An eatery in western Kent offering Italian cuisine has won a prestigious place in TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame, following a long string of great reviews.
Il Vesuvio is located on Camden Road in Tunbridge Wells and received this special honour after five successive years as a winner of the travel site’s Certificate of Excellence prize.
The restaurant is run by owner Alessandro Biscardi, alongside his parents Maria and Franco and sibling Barbara. The family claims to have prided itself on offering Tunbridge Wells’ residents a slice of Italy’s south.
Throughout the years, this has led to the restaurant being reviewed 233 times on the popular website, with no less than 162 of those reviews awarding it the highest available rating of five stars.

Speaking to the Kent and Sussex Courier, Biscardi stated that he felt the award showed that the restaurant was going about things in the right way, adding:
