What's Happening in Tunbridge Wells, England…

Tunbridge Wells council asks for festive ideas

With many people thinking about where they are going to take their summer holiday, Christmas may be far from most people’s minds. However, for the local council in Tunbridge Wells, Christmas is firmly on the agenda, as it is asking locals if they have any ideas over what to do for Christmas 2014.

Christmas last year in Tunbridge Wells was considered a success partly thanks to the Santa Express train, which saw over 10,000 people climb on-board on the run up to the big day. The train went from The Pantiles to the top of the town and it brought the two town ends together.

Santa Express was the idea of the Markerstudy Group, which consists of five local businesses in Tunbridge Wells. The council is now asking for ideas regarding what can be done to make this Christmas even better.
A spokesman for Markerstudy has said that the focus for the festive event is to bring together the different areas of the town.

Officials have drawn up a list of 10 ideas, and anyone wanting their say can vote in the Kent and Sussex Courier.

The local council has said that it would listen to any ideas, whether they are big, small – or even completely off the wall. No doubt whatever they come up with will be advertised well with the help of poster printing from Tunbridge Wells printing firms.
