Tunbridge Wells area workshop to teach foraging

Cinderhill Wood near Royal Tunbridge Wells will be the site of a special walking workshop designed to introduce attendees to foraging foods found in nature next year.

Those in Tunbridge Wells looking for a unique way to shed their Christmas weight can attend an event happening at the nearby Cinder Cinderhill Wood and Nature Reserve in the new year. Entitled “Forage and Nibble” the three-hour event will be led by an expert forager and features identification work, tracking down, picking and tasting ingredients found in the wild and a pre-prepared wild snack.

Companies offering learning experiences outdoors often look to brochure printing services to create informative Booklets that explain topics covered and recommend clothing to wear for comfort and safety.

The workshop focuses on the four foundational foods of foraging. These include fruit, fungi, foliage and flowers. The experience aims to offer for a mix of all these elements, but seasons and weather must be factored in.

The three-hour experience covers many topics from etiquette and ethics to sustainability and safety. It also shares foraging tips and discusses UK law surrounding foraging.

The Forage and Nibble session will take place at Cinderhill Wood and Nature Reserve on Sunday, January 19. The walking experience will start at 11 am and ends at 2 pm and the reserve is situated at 5 Cinder Hill Wood near Tunbridge Wells. Admission is priced at £40 per person.
