What's Happening in Tunbridge Wells, England…

Travel affected in Tunbridge Wells by Olympic Games

Announcements have been made about how travel and public transport will be affected for residents of Tunbridge Wells thanks to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Posters have been appearing at stations around the country near to those places where the games are being held. From Cardiff to London, the coordinators of the London 2012 Olympic Games are encouraging passengers to check transport news before they travel to avoid unnecessary delays.

It was recently announced on local website Tunbridge Wells People that extra trains and carriages will be available on most Southeastern Railways services, with many trains extending their timetables to either start running early or finish running late.

In addition to announcements in the local press, travellers are being encouraged to keep an eye out for informative printed literature at stations. Companies offering brochure, leaflet and poster printing in Tunbridge Wells often get involved with local organisations when it comes to communicating key messages to the public, and posters and leaflets have been proven to be excellent ways of conveying messages to a wide audience.

A nationwide travel campaign, called Get Ahead of the Games, has been launched in association with a number of transport organisations such as Transport for London and National Rail. This campaign spans a variety of media, from traditional printed posters to digital channels such as Twitter. By combining a number of methods of communication and by integrating print and digital media, the campaign will have a wide reach which will help to alleviate any travel issues.
