Singer Odell to come to Tunbridge Wells
Pop singer Tom Odell is set to play in Tunbridge Wells next year, as part of an unusual tour that the Forestry Commission has organised.
Odell, who released his Long Way Down debut album in the summer of 2013, has become the first artist to confirm he is taking part in the Forest Live programme.
The Forestry Commission has put this together to introduce young pop fans to the joys of natural environments like woodlands, and it will see Odell play in seven different forest settings throughout England.
All of the income that the commission generates through sales of tickets for shows in this programme will go towards the improvement, expansion and protection of England’s many woodlands and forests.
The combination of this cause and the popularity of Odell – whose first album hit number one in the charts and is a platinum seller – is likely to see tickets selling fast.
However, the Forestry Commission will have the option of using flyer printing in Tunbridge Wells if it wants to make sure people know about the gig.
Speaking about the shows, Odell said:
Tickets for the 19th June show by the BRIT Awards Critics’ Choice winner are on sale this month, and cost £34.50.
