Prolific artist to play Tunbridge Wells
Tunbridge Wells is set to host a single-night show by an iconic UK musician.
Outspoken and charismatic, Toyah Willcox is renowned for her punk and pop hits in the ‘70s and ‘80s, but has never stopped performing in the years since, gaining a cult following for her stage and screen appearances. Now the iconic artist is dropping by a Tunbridge Wells venue as part of her “Electro Acoustic Tour” in the new year.
Club and theatres that host live music or stage performances sometimes use the professional services offered by local print shops to create promotional posters for upcoming events in their calendar.
Usually billed simply as Toyah, the performer has become a household name here in Britain with a career that spans over 40 years. During this time, she has become an award-winning music icon and a recognised composer, with 13 singles reaching top 40 status and 14 albums released to date. She has appeared in more than 40 plays on stage, acted in 20 feature films and handled presenting duties on hundreds of TV shows.
Those attending the show will get a chance to hear classic tracks like and “Good Morning Universe”, “Thunder in The Mountains” and “It’s A Mystery”.
Willcox will play 'The Forum' Live Music Venue, located at The Common off London Road in Tunbridge Wells, on Friday, February 18. The show will start at 7:30 pm.
