Parents in Tunbridge Wells invited to school open evenings

Those parents whose children will be attending a primary school under construction in Tunbridge Wells have received invites to two open nights as a welcoming gesture.

Skinners’ Kent Primary School will form part of the housing development being constructed in the Knights Wood area of the town, which is set to see flats and houses built on around 550 plots of land.

The Skinners’ School Foundation is to run the facility when it is completed, and a staggered programme of expansion is planned, which will see the school eventually teach 210 children, divided into seven separate classes.

The school is due to open next September, with an initial intake of 30 children in its Reception class, alongside 15 Year One and Year Two pupils. The open nights will allow parents to find out more about the plans for it, and the Foundation will be able to use brochure printers in Tunbridge Wells to supply the necessary promotional materials outlining the facilities that will be on offer.

Sales Director Susie Bennett told Kent Online:

“The quality of schools in Tunbridge Wells is often cited as a key reason for living in the town, so people have been really excited to hear that the Skinners’ Kent Primary School will be built at Knights Wood.”

The developer constructing the homes, Dandara, has put £3.95 million into the building of the school.
