Outdoor festival returns to Tunbridge
A summer festival is coming back to Tunbridge, offering visitors a chance to celebrate in the open air.
Called the Alfresco Festival 2020, the three-day festival will take place in the tranquil natural beauty of Colebrook Park on Kingstanding Way in Tunbridge Wells. Surrounded by nearby woodlands, festivalgoers can appreciate a variety of artists, including many returning from last year’s edition of the event, such as Mark Rebillet, Erol Alkan and 2ManyDJs.
The weekend-long event will present a wide selection of dance music genres from across the years, including disco, house, funk, techno and acid house. The lineup announced so far includes Paul Gardner of Soul Avengerz, Stockholm Syndrome, Cabaret Nocturne, Tronik Youth, Jon Dasilva, Mathew Dear, Nightmares on Wax and the Crazy P Soundsystem, along with many others. The unique logo design for the Alfresco Festival depicts a tepee style tent resembling the letter “A”, along with typographic elements.
Colebrook Park has seen extensive improvements since the last festival was held. Now boasting two scenic lakes, the outdoor venue will also provide those attending with wood-edged open areas for dancing and enjoying the music.
The Tunbridge Wells Alfresco Festival 2020 will run from 11:00 am Friday, August 28 to 3:00 am Monday, August 31. Tickets are now available priced at £30 per person and there are no age restrictions.
