What's Happening in Tunbridge Wells, England…

New patisserie opens its doors in Tunbridge Wells

Tunbridge Wells residents with a fondness for baked confectioneries now have a new place to purchase pastries and cakes, as Patisserie Valerie opens its doors on Monson Road.

It is already proving to be a big hit with local people, as customers lined up on the first morning to experience its interiors and range of baked goods.

Magda Stormann, the manager, told the local press that she was delighted by the response they had received, before adding:

“We had one gentleman who came in three times on the opening day and he has come back again today.”

New shops and eateries opening in the town have places providing menu and catalogue printing in Tunbridge Wells that they can rely upon, so that they can show off what they have to offer.

The Patisserie Valerie chain was launched by Belgian Madame Valerie, in 1926, with the first one being located in London. Since then, several other branches have opened throughout the capital, as well as other parts of the UK – including Canterbury.

Stormann stated that she had paid a number of visits to Tunbridge Wells prior to the opening there, and it had occurred to her that the area could do with one – with the sizeable Monson Road space providing the perfect spot for the high ceilings, chandeliers, pastries and cake displays.

Patisserie Valerie will be open every day.
