Half marathon arriving in Tunbridge Wells
A challenging half marathon is coming soon to Tunbridge Wells.
The Hendy Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon typically boasts 2,500 entrants and is open to runners of all abilities, from veteran racers to absolute beginners. Racegoers, including friends and family of athletes taking part on the day are also invited to come down and cheer on the participants.
While open to all skill levels, racers should be warned that the course is challenging. The terrain in the half marathon’s course includes many notable hills in areas like Spring Hill, which racers will encounter as they approach Fordcombe. On account of the hilly ground covered, the race is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.
The race is organised by Nice Work, specialist in races, managing more than 140 each year throughout the UK. Sporting promoters can take advantage of quality banner printing services to advertise events in a big way on race day.
The half marathon consists of a single lap but encompasses some of the finest scenery the Kent countryside has to offer. Whether for a personal challenge or to achieve a finisher’s medal, runners can take part for a fee of £26 or £28, depending on club affiliation.
The Hendy Tunbridge Wells half Marathon will be held on Sunday, February 16th with the race starting at 9am sharp. Entrants must be 17 year or older to take part.
