What's Happening in Tunbridge Wells, England…

Dozens of posts created by Redrow move

Homebuilder Redrow has underlined its commitment to Kent by creating approximately forty new positions within Chatham.

Fifty-five employees are poised to drive development in Kent following the decision, and will be based at Prince Regents House. The bulk of the workers are new to the firm and their various skills could bring a breath of fresh air with them to the business. Their efforts could lead to increased demand for promotional items from Tunbridge Wells. Other Redrow staff will work on building sites throughout the county.

The policy shift by Redrow in Kent will mean that there is the capacity for more emphasis to be placed on Essex too. Chris Lilley, an executive at the south-eastern division of Redrow Homes, has said:

“Moving to the new Chatham office is part of our strategy for growth as it not only means we're now closer to our existing sites, but we're ideally placed to identify land with development potential in Medway and throughout Kent.”

During the year to come, the regional division of Redrow aspires to make further progress. There is the ambition to create seven more outlets.

Land has been purchased in the Strood area to facilitate one of the developments which the company is backing. Over 600 properties are to be constructed near the river and local jobs should be generated by the scheme. To achieve the best possible outcome, Redrow is committed to working with the local authority.
