Conservative HQ for sale in Tunbridge Wells
The building that, until recently, housed regular meetings and activities for the Conservative Association in Tunbridge Wells has been put up for sale.
The house stands on London Road and, due to its size and location, is being touted as an ideal family home. The Conservative Association will be moving to new premises and hopes to sell the old London Road property for £1 million. The house itself consists of five bedrooms and until recently, the party worked out of the ground floor whilst a family rented the upper level of the building.
Andrew Kennedy, a spokesperson for the party, commented on the move, saying:
Estate agents that operate in the area may look to take the building onto their books to promote via brochures, booklets or window POS printing. “It's on the market for £1 million, I suspect that is optimistic. It needs quite a lot of work. But there aren't that many family homes of that size left in Tunbridge Wells. We have no intentions of trying to get planning permission for flats.
“Money from the sale will fund the leasing of new offices in an industrial area or a shop front. It will leave us with several hundred thousand pounds to invest to provide long-term campaign income for the party in Tunbridge Wells.”
