Award-winning comedy coming to Tunbridge Wells
Two acclaimed comics will be performing on the same bill in Tunbridge Wells this winter.
An upcoming event entitled “Comedy Club: The Good Ship Comedy” is set to take place at the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells this December. Clubs and theatres hosting stand-up comedy nights sometimes use flyer printing services to create colourful leaflets that attract attendance at shows.
The upcoming show will feature two rising stars in the stand-up comedy scene, Athena Kugblenu and Pierre Novellie.
Over the last two years Kugblenu has risen to become a formidable comedian working on stage and in television and radio for the BBC. A writer and panellist on numerous shows, she has been part of Horrible Histories, Breaking the News, Loose Ends and Mock the Week. She has also appeared at the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival.
Novellie is recognised as one of the Britain’s finest new comics, performing The Mash Report for BBC2 and on the latest series of Comedy Central’s Stand Up Central. He also supported fellow comedian Frank Skinner on his West End dates and the Guardian newspaper described his emergence in the stand-up comedy world as a “Dawn of a major talent.”
Comedy Club: The Good Ship Comedy will be held at the Trinity Theatre on Church Road, in Royal Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, December 17. The show will start at 8:00pm.
