The main theatre in Telford could be rebuilt in a new and improved form, if Plans for it are given the nod.
These plans would see Telford Theatre demolished and a brand-new building erected in its place.
The current theatre building dates back to the 1960s, and there are now major flaws in its structure that make it unsafe. In addition to solving that problem, the plan for a replacement building would also see a number of improvements made to its amenities.
Among the upgrades would be more spacious rooms for rehearsals, a greater number of toilets and a larger bar. The new box office and entrance area would be up to modern standards, while the auditorium would contain a total of 766 seats.

Other amenities that the all-new Telford Theatre would offer residents include a space for dining, a room for community arts projects and a studio theatre in an adjoining building.
If it opens its doors, it will provide full-time jobs for 12 people, as well as numerous part-time positions. The hope is that work can get underway on knocking down the existing theatre before the end of the autumn.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Plans
