Garage Talk Radio is a station targeted at car fans, garage businesses and mechanics. It broadcasts a mix of entertainment and news about buying, selling and repairing vehicles. The station is the brainchild of Ben Coates, and he is the man who will take on the challenge. It is being described as a day-long live radiothon, where he will broadcast continually for a full day. This is to raise money for Ben, the official charity for the motor industry.
Fortunately for Coates, he will not have to spend the entire 24 hours alone. Other presenters from Garage Talk Radio will be joining from time to time. Several people from the automotive sector will also appear, as well as some special guests.

Speaking to Telford Live, Ben Coates stated:
“We spend a lot of time talking about the challenges facing garages, technicians and the wider aftermarket, but this is an opportunity to do something practical and give something back.”
He then urged listeners to tune in and donate.
This radiothon gets underway at 8am on 20th August.
