This event is being organised by Krazy Races, which is the biggest travelling soapbox derby in the country. It will be coming to Telford after the company entered into an agreement with Telford & Wrekin Council and it should prove popular with local people.
Krazy Races Soapbox Derby events take place all over the UK and they have drawn over 250,000 spectators in the past.
Anyone who wishes to enter the Telford race will need to come up with their own soapbox kart racer, which they can design to suit their specifications. The organisers are hoping to attract as many as 40 teams, and the event is open to charities, community groups and businesses.

According to the council website, Danny Scoffin from Krazy Races said:
“Having grown up in Telford and being a lifelong AFC Telford fan, bringing the magic and community spirit of Krazy Races to my hometown is incredibly special.”
