Nicki Silvanus and Kara-Jay Matthews, who are both 23, have named their clothing line House of Junk, as they seek to take on and beat the mainstream fashion industry – despite both still having full-time jobs.
Silvanus currently works as an assistant in a local call centre, while Matthews is employed in an administrative position, but they have committed a further 30 hours of their time each week to making a go of the business idea, which they hope will eventually grow beyond fashion. Matthews told the Swindon Advertiser:
“It’s not very realistic, but I would love for us to end up a company like Red Bull, which has built an empire. That’s the dream.
“Once we have conquered the fashion world, we want to move on to sporting events and entertainment.”
As with other fledgling businesses in the area, House of Junk will have access to Print companies in Swindon that can supply them with business card printing, as they look to get the name established.
The company, whose first line features four T-Shirts for women and men, costing between £16 and £20, has already enjoyed valuable exposure after a band at the recent Reading Festival wore them during their performance on stage.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts Get a Free Quote for Print
