Residents of Swindon who love tunes with a twang are set for a treat later this year, as a show dedicated to country music hits the town.
The show has been given the name Country Hits Live, and it certainly looks set to live up to that billing. It will include performances of songs by some of the genre’s true legends, such as Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. There will also be hit country tunes by more modern stars though, with Taylor Swift and Shania Twain among them.
Designed to be a trip through country music history, it is likely to have something to please fans of all ages. The main singers will be Lars Pluto and Jade Helliwell – two highly respected country music vocalists.
Helliwell has been named Female Vocalist of the Year by the British Country Music Association on three occasions. She has played at the Long Road and Country2Country festivals too. Pluto is best known for Walk Right Back, which is a tribute show to the Everly Brothers. They will be backed throughout the performance by a six-piece group.
The Wyvern Theatre will serve as the venue for this show. Local venues often use giveaway Promotional Products from Swindon shops to help advertise their upcoming shows.
Country Hits Live is scheduled to come to Swindon on Tuesday, March 25.
