The tribute show Total 90s is on tour and due to make a stopover in Swindon at the beginning of September.
This was the decade of Britpop, boy bands, girl power and Men in Black, when bands such as Oasis, Blur, The Spice Girls and Boyzone ruled the pop charts. However, it was also the era when club and house music were to become commercially successful.
This musical experience condenses the decade and its sounds. There will be 21 tribute acts set to perform 45 hits capturing the ‘90s zeitgeist. Songs such as "You Can't Touch This", “Mambo No. 5" and "Livin La Vida Loca".
The show has video visuals, authentic and professionally choreographed dancers and incorporates 100 changes of costume. This takes the audience on their own personal stage journey through chart, dance, house and club classics, not to mention the drum and bass of the period.
It should appeal to a broad spectrum of people. Both those who lived the experience as well as the more youthful who would like to discover this musical era for themselves.
Tickets cost £29.50 and there is a minimum age of 14. Stationery printers can be a cost effective way of identifying and branding a forthcoming cultural event.
Total 90s will take place, starting at 7:30pm, on Friday, September 3 at The Wyvern Theatre, Swindon.
