Swindon to play host to spoof clairvoyant

The man who created a spoof clairvoyant act for a hit television show will be bringing his character to Swindon in the future, for a live performance.

Clinton Baptiste is the brainchild of comic Alex Lowe and first became known to the public after featuring in the television series Phoenix Nights. Lowe has continued to develop the character in the years since then and now has a full live act centred on him. Baptiste is a parody of clairvoyant acts, and his upcoming show has been given the name ‘Spectral Intercourse’.

When it kicks off, it will mark the fifth live tour that Lowe has undertaken as the character. The previous four were all sell-out smash hits, so he will be hoping for a similar response from audiences this time around.

The venue for the Swindon show will be the Wyvern Theatre and tickets seem sure to be in high demand. Venues sometimes help to drum up interest for future shows by using promotional flyer printing from shops in the town.

Speaking to a local source, Baptiste stated that:
“This will be the biggest and best show I’ve ever done. What’s more, spirit has promised to turn up to every venue on the tour and be at its spooky best!”

Fans will have to wait a while though, as the show is not expected to hit Swindon until 25 March 2026.
