Swindon to host Creative iMedia Teacher Network

Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations will hold one of its Cambridge Nationals iMedia Teacher Networks in the town early in December.

These networks are specifically teacher-led with OCR Subject Advisors present in order to facilitate, offer encouragement and answer any questions. This is not a CPD training event.

It provides an opportunity for teachers to discuss the subject area with an OCR subject advisor together with other teaching colleagues in the region. The focus will be on discussing teaching and assessment, on sharing ideas and contributing to good practice with the objective of building up strong and supportive pedagogic structures.

It is the intention of this particular network to examine issues of planning, encompassing all course features. There will be time to reflect on the latest series of exams and to take a look at the best approach towards assessment as well as a suitable fit for iMedia marking. One important topic for consideration is recognised practice and the delivery of assignment requirements for Creative iMedia.

The event is free and it is advisable to have pre-prepared resources if needed as part of the ideas exchange. Printing services can be used to provide resources and materials for events such as this.

The OCR Cambridge Nationals iMedia Teacher Network will take place between 3:30pm and 5:30pm on Tuesday 10th December at Lydiard Park Academy in Swindon.
