Gretchen Peters is embarking on a farewell tour in celebration of a quarter of a century of UK performances and is due to play Swindon towards the end of May.
An initial appearance in 1998 coincided with her first album 'The Secret of Life' being released. It garnered considerable attention from BBC Radio 2's Terry Wogan. This, in turn, formed the basis of a long-lasting bond with her British fans.
Gretchen was an inductee into Nashville's Songwriter Hall of Fame in 2014, having written for a host of artists such as Bryan Adams, Bonny Rait and Faith Hill. She has also received two Grammy and one Golden Globe nomination, with record sales now calculated in the millions.
Martina McBride's recording of 'Independence Day' delivered Gretchen a Country Music Award as early as 1995. Furthermore, her release 'Blackbirds' was both the UK Americana Association's International Album and Song of the Year in 2015.
This current tour comes at the same time as her new live album is due out. The support set will be provided by her close friend Kim Richey.
Tickets range in price from £30 to £34 and may be subject to a transaction fee. Stationery printers can be a particularly useful resource for those engaged in preparations relating to a future concert or musical event.
