Swindon takes a humorous look at the past

The West End show 'Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain' is on tour and due to arrive in Swindon towards the end of August.

This updated version provides the audience with an opportunity to meet British historical figures and explore events. It includes many new and crazy characters, as well as the usual selection of rude rulers. The intention is to both educate and entertain.

There will be a chance to get to know William the Conqueror and to house hunt with Henry VIII. You can also accompany the gorgeous Georgians in their English takeover, or illegally enter the Palace whilst simultaneously hiding in Queen Victoria's presence.

This innovative theatrical production breaks new ground, utilising professional actors and combining them with 3D special effects. It seeks to introduce children to Britain's past by bringing it to life in an original and engaging way.

The show is based on the successful Books written by the best-selling children's non-fiction author Terry Deary. These were subsequently turned into a popular television series that continues to run on CBBC.

Tickets cost £22 and may be subject to a transaction tax. Brochure printing can be a valuable resource when it comes to the presentation of a stage show or theatrical event.

'Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain' has two starting times, 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Thursday, August 24 at Wyvern Theatre, Swindon.
