The Swindon Cheese and Chilli Festival, presented by 33 Management, is due to be held in the town at the beginning of July.
This is the only UK show to focus on a combination of these two foods, and it does so within a family-friendly environment. It brings together distinctive flavours, colours and a relaxed atmosphere, with retailers, producers and attendees all contributing.
Some 70 to 100 traders are taking part and the event can welcome upwards of 10,000 people. This includes live music with special guest Dan The Hat, cooking lectures and displays, a tasting tent, chilli eating and sauce competitions, and public bars serving up refreshments.
The show boasts a children’s play area hosting entertainment, most notably a Punch and Judy show, but also magic, crazy golf, a fairground, and inflatables.
The stalls offer a variety of crafts and shopping opportunities where visitors can buy fresh products direct from the manufacturers. A range of street food vendors from whom the public can avail themselves will be on site. This is all conducted in line with the festival's theme.
Tickets range in price between £5 and £13.50, with children free. It may be advisable for those involved in the trade to bring along some extra Business Cards for networking purposes.
The festival will take place July 2 and 3 at Lydiard Park, Swindon.
