The Superhero Run 2021, organised by Brighter Futures, is due to be held in Swindon early in May.
This is a chance to take part in either a 3km or a 5km charity fun run on a circuit of Coate Water. Participants can choose as to whether they wish to run, walk or jog around, but all will receive a medal as a small memento, however they choose to compete it.
The option of donning fancy dress is open to everyone and there are prizes on offer for the best-dressed child and adult. Prizes will also be awarded, on the spot, to runners who succeed in catching up with the primary villain.
Bright Futures is a charity directly linked to the Great Western NHS Foundation Trust, of which the Great Western Hospital constitutes a part, but it also includes other community health centres in the Swindon area. It raises funds to support patients, families and staff in order to improve the hospital environment, fund research and staff training, as well as purchase medical equipment.
Entry costs £14 for adults and £9 for children under 16, with under-5s free. Each runner should attempt to raise £20 or alternatively make a private donation. Stationery printers can provide a useful service when it comes to preparing for a charity event like this.
The Superhero Run 2021, has a starting time of 10:30 am on Sunday, May 2 at Coate Water Country Park, Swindon.
