Swindon prepares for dance festival

The annual Jam Festival and West Country Clash, hosted by Jessie and Juelz, is due to be held in Swindon this spring.

This is a showcase for international street and underground dance. It incorporates workshops for nurturing and developing talent, as well as special events such as those presented by Indahouse and Litefest. This all takes place under the direction of experienced dancers, many of whom performed at the original ‘Jam’.

The scheduled festival classes listed are Litefeet, Afro, Breakin’ and Krump. There will also be the more familiar Hip Hop, Popping, House, and a choreography class led by Anna Hucknall.

The West Country Clash features one versus one challenges, most notably in Hip Hop, Popping, Breakin’ and All Styles, with Niako and Dickson & Clint having been named as judges. DJ DBO is set to be the resident DJ for the occasion.

Early bird tickets are no longer on sale, and tickers now cost £250. The venue will be COVID-19 secure and will comply with all government guidelines. Stationery printers can prove most useful when considering holding a dance or musical event like this, and can prepare sign up and attendance Forms, among other materials.

The Jam Festival and West Country Clash will take place between Tuesday, 6th April and Saturday, 10th April at Swindon Dance, Regent Circus, Swindon.
