A Swindon caravan engineer has won £100,000 in one of the Health Lottery's Saturday jackpots.
Robin Marriott, who lives in Vicarage Road, said that he was "slightly shocked" by his good fortune on July 19th.
The 27-year-old has stated that he intends to use his windfall to buy a house, together with his girlfriend, Keana Marsh. Local estate agents may wish to contact a printing firm offering digital printing in Swindon to make sure that they have particulars to hand when Marriott steps through their door.
Marriott's first action following his win was to buy his mother a new car, as her ten-year-old vehicle was in need of replacement. In an interview with the Swindon Advertiser, he described how he had surprised his mother by turning up at her home unannounced with a brand new Volkswagen, leading to an "emotional" but "delighted" reception.
The engineer said that he Plans to keep playing the Health Lottery because he approves of the way it funds local health projects and organisations. The Lottery has contributed over £1,163,000 towards causes in Swindon and the Gloucestershire area, with numerous organisations receiving funding, including Mencap and Swindon Children’s Scrapstore.
The Health Lottery's sales and marketing director, Mimi Turner, said that she was "happy for Robin" and thought that his first purchase of a new car for his mother was "lovely".Get a Free Quote for Plans
